Thank you my Sister for laying out a framework. I think there are many hurdles that are self imposed, a brother responded to a post saying we need Colored party comprised of all non-whites, when I asked him to game out the strategy, he said Black people are the weakest link. He went further to talk about Black womens hair and nails! He hates the person he sees in the mirror. It’s hard to get past that…
Damn, that's too bad. That moment when someone’s internalized pain spills out in the form of self-hate masked as strategy. Hair and nails though¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Thank you for participating in this journey we're collectively on!
As usual, My Sister, I do not necessarily agree some of The Particulars, herein...but I don't have to. I understand you, and support your call for uniting against the same political systems and engineers who claim to represent any of Us.
I'd like to help get Us organized around some things I know The Many (all who are not a part of the elitist groups) can rally around. What do you say to that? Where can that meet with your Ends?
I love that I am finding digital confirmation everywhere. Connection is the lifeblood of community, and I’m glad to have connected with a piece that reflects who I am. “ what are we if not reflections of each other.” And I see my reflection in this work. I am also doing the same here, in Tennessee, rolling out community blueprints. Next stop is the school admin. I’ve silent with legislators, creators, educators, businesses, neighbors, and strangers about this community project. We keep waiting on governments to do the work of the people for the people and that’s where we went wrong. Dependency. Great reflection.
Thank you for the kind words. “We have to save ourselves”. Hopefully, we’ll light a spark in others. All movements start small and this government isn’t playing with their intentions for us all. My hope is to find others on the same wave length who realize the dire times we’re in and are willing to take action.
I just emailed this today on the local level. I’ll be working on the State and Feds later today.
Dear Vice Mayor Lee,
I’m relatively new to the area, just over two years. I'd like to thank you for your recent leadership in addressing the urgent fire safety and infrastructure issues in District 6. I read your call to action regarding hydrant failures and the Port with great interest, and I appreciate the clarity and urgency you brought to these concerns.
As a resident, I’m equally concerned about the lack of consistent city services that underpin these challenges, particularly around mental health, substance abuse, and the homeless population. These issues are deeply connected to public safety and emergency preparedness, and any plan to improve fire response must also address these intersecting crises.
While the repair and replacement of hydrants is critical, I urge the council to also invest in preventing the next emergency — through increased funding and support for community health, housing stability, and crisis intervention services.
I share this not as a complaint, but as context. When I first arrived here, I was homeless. I was fortunate to secure a shelter bed, but I saw firsthand how hard it is for those who don’t know how to navigate the system or who don’t fit the “ideal client” mold. I witnessed disparities in how resources were distributed, from clothing to basic dignity. I made it through because I know how to advocate, but that shouldn't be the barrier to survival. It’s why I’m speaking up now not just for myself, but for those who are still trying to find a way forward.
I appreciate your leadership and look forward to the October 14 City Council meeting. If there are any materials I can review in advance, please don’t hesitate to share.
Now, let’s see if I get a response!
You are my digital confirmation that people, if only a few are listening @T.B., writing as BlakkMomba 🖤
Lol, I’m the typo queen too — talk-to-text betrays me daily, so please don’t judge me 😭. 👑✍🏾 I find myself not caring as much. I’m human. I’ll save the grammatically correct for ChatGPT.
Know this: even when people don’t respond, they see you. Energy doesn’t lie — not even digitally. I’m glad to echo that back to you today.
I also hope you get a real response, and when you do, I look forward to sharing it right alongside you. Because this isn’t just talk — it’s blueprint. I’ve been working on ideas too: Community Healing Town Halls and a Daily Decompression Routine in schools. Kids come in carrying anxiety and doomscroll fatigue, and we ask them to jump straight into math. What if we gave them 8–10 minutes to breathe, reset, and ground before the day? Not therapy — just simple respect. Talk about what they may have seen on social media. Is it fact or fiction? Did it confuse them? Scare them?
Beyond that, I see low-cost workshops on algorithms, media literacy, safety de-escalation, digital boundaries — each with a teacher’s guide, a parent take-home, and a kid activity. I feel once people understand how tech, social media, and algorithms really work—it will help them engage with these tools better and save their mental health from the dopamine addiction. And at the community level: offline meetups, homework hubs, meal shares, solar chargers, and neighborhood manuals so we’re not fully dependent on broken systems. We started depending on a “Government of the people for the people” instead of us-the actual people-depending on ourselves. I want my block, my community, my city ready for whatever. I want be caught sleeping but I can’t be awake alone.
I know it sounds like a lot, but it’s needed. If we don’t put something between our kids and these algorithms, between our people and the surveillance economy—Empire, we’re handing them over to the machine. I refuse.
Thank you for blessing me today, too. We make mirrors, but we don’t have to keep breaking them—just polish them clean.
Those are phenomenal ideas! I work with kids, preschoolers w/ ASD. You’d be amazed how many of them have iPads, interact with the phone for their favorite videos. Parents are leaving devices to entertain their babies. That’s not a knock on parents. ASD if tough, especially in the younger years. But that is a knock on a system that overloads all of our senses. I’m willing to assist in anyway possible. Maybe we should collaborate when the times feels right to get this message out. This is truly how we will save ourselves. It’s been such a pleasure meeting, talking and exploring a better future forward for our people, all people that want to thrive not just survive in chaos.
No doubt! I got several writing projects I’m somehow working on simultaneously, don’t ask me how, Grace and mercy. But I as soon as I drop my next project, The Shot Heard Around the World: What Happens When Empire Shoots Itself in the Neck, A cultural autopsy of America. (Long title? I know🤦🏽♀️) I’m moving forward with this offline project. Shoot me your email to my DM or here, if it’s business and you don’t mind, and once I get started, I’ll share the entire blueprint plus the mission/vision statement! I’m open to random brainstorms and ideas that will enhance. Don’t hesitate to add, copy and tailor it yourself for your community, and share with others. It’s created by me, Spirit-Led, but it’s created for the people.

That’s a very good idea. I think the goal is the same. The methods do not need to be🫶🏽
